We have met the enemy in Iraq

America's ever-growing enemies list in the multiple wars of Iraq grew again this week when yet another culprit was officially identified.

For years, the list of enemies targeting U.S. troops in Iraq has included Sunni insurgents, Shiite militia and, more recently, a group that calls itself al Qaeda of Mesopotamia. The enemies list in Iraq also includes outsiders such as Iran and Syria, who President Bush and Vice President Cheney have blamed for providing those combatant enemies with weapons that are used to kill U.S. troops in Iraq. Now there is one more, according to infuriating new intelligence that came not from the CIA nor the National Security Agency, but the GAO.

An investigation by the U.S. Government Accountability Office identified a new culprit who has been shipping into Iraq massive numbers of weapons that U.S. officials now fear are being used to kill American troops. go to story

We don't want to stop trade or the production of grains and vegetables and fruit. But we want to stop these killing houses. It is very, very sinful. That is why all over the world they have so many wars. Every 10 or 15 years there is a big war–a wholesale slaughterhouse for humankind. But these rascals–they do not see it, that by the law of karma, every action must have its reaction.

You are killing innocent cows and other animals–nature will take revenge. Just wait. As soon as the time is right, nature will gather all these rascals and slaughter them. Finished. They'll fight amongst themselves–Protestants and Catholics, Russia and America, this one and that one. It is going on. Why? That is nature's law. Tit for tat. "You have killed. ... Modern people, they are after peace, stopping war. And suppose you stop war. Can you stop death? Then why you are after stopping war? Why you forget your real business? They are after stopping war. And suppose war is stopped, nobody takes to war anymore. Now, how you'll stop the war of this material nature? She is fighting always with you. From the beginning of your birth she is fighting. A child is born and the material nature is killing this child every moment. The child has grown, two years old. That means material nature has already killed this child for two years. How you can stop this? These nonsense, they do not consider these cases. Suppose if I stop war, there will be no more war, no more disease. No more disease cannot be possible. You can make by some way no more war... That is also not possible. Anyway, if you stop it by the efforts of the United Nations, by some way no more war... That is also not possible. You cannot live peacefully, that is not possible. The only peaceful condition is that you become in Krishna consciousness. There is no other alternative. Kalau nasty eva nasty eva nasty eva gatir anyatha. Lord Chaitanya clearly says, "There is no other alternative, no other alternative, no other alternative." It is not that our Krishna consciousness movement is one of the so many movements. No. It is the only one movement that can give peace and life and prosperity to the people. Yes.
