Scope of scientific study incomplete
Science doesn't go there A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

Creation means the Creator. Just like when I see the picture of so many sculptors. So who has done it? I come to David. To appreciate the creation means you have to come to the point, appreciating the Creator. Otherwise, it is not finished. Or your knowledge is imperfect still. So these scientists, they are simply trying to study the creation. They have no knowledge about the Creator. That is the defect. Neither do they try, neither they can understand. They are so foolish and poor fund of knowledge. They should try to understand the Creator also. Then the knowledge is perfect. Just like the scientists, they are theorizing that life began from matter, chemicals. But wherefrom the chemicals came? That is insufficient knowledge. more

Behind the cosmic activities

excerpt from lecture on Bhagavad-gita 4.12, Vrindaban, August 4, 1974

God's machine is so perfect that it is automatically taking place. Parasya shaktir vividhaiva shruyate [Chaitanya-charitamrita Madhya 13.65, purport]. Shakti. God's energy, Krishna's energy, is so perfect that it is automatically being done.

We have got some experience nowadays. The pilot is sitting in front of the airplane, and there are very fine electronic machine, and he's pushing one button. Immediately the wings is working, and it is going down, it is, it is very, mean, a delicate position in the air. A little mistake in the pushing of the button, the whole plane may be crashed. So nowadays scientists, they have invented so many fine machineries that it is working very nicely. We came from London to Bombay in eight hours. So this is very nice.

But at the same time, we should appreciate that how much nice machinery is there which is conducting the whole cosmic activities. So that is stated in the Vedas, that parasya shaktir vividhaiva shruyate, svabhaviki jñana-bala-kriya cha. Krishna's knowledge is so perfect. Krishna says, mayadhyakshena prakritih suyate sa-characharam [Bhagavad-gita 9.10]. This nature's work is going on not whimsically, but under the guidance of pushing the button of Krishna, by Krishna. It is not going on independently. Any scientist can understand that no machine, however nicely made, finely made, without pushing the button, it cannot work. So the huge machinery of the cosmic manifestation, which is working so nicely and perfect, perfectly, there must be some brain. All big, big scientists, even Professor Einstein, he also admitted. So there is brain. That brain is Krishna.
