What is morality?
Where Gandhi's Good Intentions Failed: a wrong interpretation of religious principles A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

Nothing is bad... But nothing is good if it is not purposeful. That is the whole purpose of teaching Bhagavad-gita. Nothing is good; nothing is bad. Everything is good, everything is bad, in this material world, but we have to see. Just like the common phrase goes, "The end justifies the means. The end justifies the means." more

Social customs and morality are generally a good thing for a society, but they can get in the way of serving the higher interest of the nation, and this same principle is applicable also to the pursuit of the transcendental goal of life.

Morality or social mores contrary to the higher principle of serving God should be rejected

excerpt from Chaitanya-charitamrita Madhya-lila 3.212, purport

As the world teacher of this Krishna consciousness movement, He [Lord Chaitanya] actually showed that a person seriously engaged in Krishna consciousness should not be affected by worldly affection. The best course is to engage in rendering service to the Lord and to become callous to material objectives. Externally everyone is attached to material things, but if one becomes entangled in such things, he cannot make progress in Krishna consciousness. Therefore those who are engaged in Krishna consciousness should not care for the so-called morality of the material world if that morality opposes the service of the Lord.
