In response to Srila Prabhupada Disappearance Day Appeal by Aindra dasa

Is it just me - or is this piece - ostensibly written as a glorification of Srila Prabhupada - in fact a seriously deficient mishmash of self promotion, misdirected presumption and DIRECT SLIGHT OF OUR ACTUAL ACHARYA Srila Prabhupada?


Krishna is not cheap

"Krishna may not come. I may not see Krishna for thousands and thousands of lives. I may rot in the hellish condition of life for many, many births. That doesn't matter. Still, I cannot give up Krishna consciousness." This is required. I may be sent to hell, heaven; it doesn't matter. What qualification I have got that I want to see back to home, back to Godhead? It is not so easy thing. So why should I be sorry for that? I should be happy even in the hell simply by thinking of Krishna. That is wanted. That is wanted. That is Krishna consciousness.more

To me this is in FACT THE ULTIMATE OFFENSE TO SRILA PRABHUPADA, AKIN TO A WOMAN STANDING NEXT TO HER GOD-GIVEN PROTECTOR HUSBAND - LOOKING ABOUT AND ANNOUNCING TO THE WORLD IN THE LOUDEST VOICE POSSIBLE - "I NEED A MAN!!!! Where O where can I find a real man?"

My own reaction after reading this piece was I wanted to literally punch this arrogant man right in the face!

How dare he claim, "WE ULTIMATELY NEED A RASIKA GURU TO GUIDE US - AND THEN FAIL COMPLETELY TO ALERT THE WHOLE WORLD TO THE ETERNAL PRESENCE OF HIS DIVINE GRACE SRILA PRABHUPADA AS THE PENULTIMATE JAGAD GURU!!

JAGAD GURU MEANS - HE AND HE ALONE IS THE GURU OF ALL GURUS - THE MASTER OF ALL MASTERS - THUS WORTHY OF THE TITLE "PRABUHUPADA".

AND THIS POINT is only one of about 6 or 8 major offenses and/or misrepresentations of our Gaudiya philosophy contained in this piece.

Maybe I am just jaded - but I found this to be one of the most subtle attacks upon our Guru Maharja ever broadcast in public! And it was couched WITHIN a supposed glorification of the Holy Name!!

Goddamn if Maya is not amazing.

The moment we separate the Holy Name - from the Pure Chanter of that Holy Name and his generous effort to include us in HIS CHANTING - we are no longer even human! We are as dull as a frigging goat!

There is nothing a goat won't eat and in this case - at least to me - it appears there is nothing this man/goat would not say.

Presently - I am simply appalled.

Now I could be wrong - and if you esteemed brothers can help me see my erroneous vision - I stand eager to be corrected. I have not given you ALLLLLL my criticisms of this piece. I am confident that what I saw - what appeared as obvious to me - would likewise appear to others. BUT if I am all wet - help me see that.
