Dear Maharaja Bhanu Swami:

Please accept my humble obeisances, All Glory to Sri Krishna Sankirtana.

I would like to introduce my self, my name is Haripada das, I am from Spain, I am doing book distribution for 25 years around the world, also I help also to distribute prasad in Sri Vrindavana Dhama for many years.

I recall the year the first time I saw you, back 1986 in Sri Mayapura Dhama in the 500 aniversary of Lord Sri Caitanya appearance. I ask some Srila Prabhupada disciples who was that sannyasi, and they told me your name Bhanu Swami. They further described you as a simple hearted devotee, very serious and sincere. After that time I saw you few time more in the Madras temple.

When I came to know you were the GBC Chaiman for this year I was happy, because I want to reveal to you some things, that I have within my heart as follows:

1. - Little while ago I was in Sri Vrndavan dhama, I went to Srila Prabhupada Bhajana-kutira to offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace. Then I came across a letter date 9 of July 1997. I suppose you know that letter. In that letter was signature of H.H. Tamala Krsna Goswami. Somehow I read it. By reading it I understood that Srila Prabhupada desire was that His Divine Grace disciples give initiation in His Divine Grace Names. I wondering why this instruction has not been carried out? I wondering what is the situation of the present-day gurus and his disciples and followers?

My view the whole situation I think there is many advantages, if we had follow that instruction of Srila Prabhupada, if we had done so, we may have avoided many unpleasant event, like a couple Russian devotees kill themselves when Harisekas das fell down. We had witness many confusion, a loss of faith in the institution because of the falldown of many Gurus. I would like to give you and example like H.H. Jayapataka Swami, he has about 14, 000 disciples. What happen if he falls down? How much more confusion may be. But if him or anybody else gives initiation in the name of Srila Prabhupada, no one would be frustrated if the person who perform the initiation falls down.

Also think the amount of Money that may be save in ISKCON, we do not have to spend for the tickets of the Gurus who fly around the World. The devotees may take initiation of Srila Prabhupada representative which is near to them, just to avoid to spend so much money. (Some time back H.H. Tamal Krsna Goswami came all the way from China to give initiation to two person near Mexico city.)

Another advantage is that every one of us has the desire to be Srila Prabhupada disciples. If all the devotees had been initiated as per said in the letter of the 9 July 1977, in the name of Srila Prabhupada, then no one had gone away to Srila Narayana Maharaja or Srila Puri Maharaja.

I have other points as follows:

2. - I would like to ask your opinion about the temple in New York, Brooklyn. They told me that they have beside the temple a place which they rent, and the people there are gambling, drinking, and smoking. I think that is wrong, because our religious institution is completely against all these things because they are sinful and lead to degrade life.

3. - In the Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.17.38 it is said there if the divorce law is allow, that would increase the prostitution within the society, therefore should be demised. I wondering when this Srila Prabhupada instruction within ISKCON is going be follow?

4.- I want to comment in regard of the Vyasa Puja of H.H. Jayapataka Swami, in Sri Mayapaura Dhama, which I had the opportunity to be there. It was held for three days long, which I think was alright, but I want to remark why they do not offer to Nitya Lila Pavistra Om Visnu-pada Paramahansa Asottarasa His Divine Grace Sri Srimad A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada as the Founder Acharya of ISKCON and the Sri Chandradoya Mandira at least for six full days, otherwise I think His Divine Grace position as the Founder Acharya is demised, I would like to know what is your opinion about it?
