ISKCON Ethics and the West Point Honor System

Despite the fact that you have banned me from publishing comments of any kind on your site (and I do not object to that at all - being a most ardent proponent of the principles of common law) - I wanted to send you a copy of a very succinct article composed by General Maxwell Taylor, the Commanding officer of the 101st Division in the Second World War and then later Commanding officer of the West Point Acadamy. (He jumped into Normandy on D-Day June 6th 1944 WITH his men and fought in the front lines the entire campaign in Normandy. ( Quick Bio here) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell_D._Taylor. As I have consistently argued that ISKCON is the personal arrangement of Srila Prabhupada - and is more important than any institution on this planet - it merits a greater adherence to the principles of TRUTHFUL REPRESENTATION of the Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada - its Founder - than any mundane organization in the world. ISKCON and the BBT are the direct creation of Srila Prabhupada. Anyone "representing" them - in an official capacity - are thus - MORE DUTY BOUND - to COME FORWARD when they transgress the commands of THE COMMANDER than any officer in the Chain of Command within any branch of any Military Body - from amongst the nearly 200 countries on the earth.

The simple facts of Satsvarup Das are this.

He is an incorrigible liar. Plain and simple. He is one of the single most deceitful individuals to have ever (mis)rerepresented His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.

He LIED to all the disciples of Srila Prabhupada in the fall of 1977 when he deliberately changed the request of Srila Prabhupada that "You let ALL MY DISCIPLES NOW COME HERE TO VRNDAVANA TO SEE ME". Satsvarup Das LIED to each and every disciple and stated that Srila Prabhupada "ONLY WISHED TO SEE SENIOR SANYASSIS AND GBC MEN".

HE then further LIED - by witholding the TRUTH of his actions in this matter - and feigned IGNORANCE - when Srila Prabhupada consistently inquired as to "Why no one was coming? Has my association now become poisonous?"

Satsvarup Das, Ramesvara Das and Tamal Krsna Das ALLLLLLLL Lied both to Srila Prabhuupada and to allllll his disciples - who were all to the man and woman - praying for Srila Prabhupada's recovery all across the globe.

Later - Satsvarup Das LIED - and told all the devotees that Srila Prabhupada had in fact APPOINTED him - and the other 10 men as GURU - when in fact the appointment was STATED IN PLAIN ENGLISH - "RITVIK REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ACHARYA".

He then lived the Big Lie - for the next two decades - claiming to be an AUTHORIZED ACHARYA - all the while harboring a desire for the wife of another man. Seated on the Vyasasana - having his feet washed in rank imitation of our COMMANDER IN CHIEF and SPOTLESSLY PURE SELF REALIZED ACHARYA SRILA PRABHUAPDA - and insisting his picture be placed upon the alter - in line with Srila Prabhupada. This he did - all the while KNOWING that he was in fact - NOT A SELF REALIZED SOUL - but a "fallible creature like ourselves" and in fact - MORE SO - since the VAST MAJORITY would NEVER pretend so - nor insist that others take part in such a disgusting charade - all for the purpose of "keeping up appearances".

Such duplicity is unthinkable to 99% of the men who have "abandoned all varieties of pretensious religion" in order that they might finally impress upon the Lord their most sincere desire to truly please Him.

Getting some Godbrother to speak on his behalf is quite literally - the single most PATHETIC DISPLAY OF MANHOOD one could possibly muster.

As is clearly represented in this article - it is expected of the men in West Point that any transgression on their part - should require no "panel" or inquiry be convened. They are expected to simply come forward - without need of "discovery" and expose themselves - in all honesty and with a sincere quest for rectification. Realization - Regret and Rectification should all come UNSOLICITED - from the truly honest and upright man - if he is to serve his men as an officer in the military.

However - we see that Satsavarup Das - has had to be dragged down. Were he truly honest and truly sincere and truly "THEISTIC" he would KNOW that his constant lying - to himself and to all who might indulge him and his lies - only further implicates him in the web of deciet that can only result in his and their ruin.

Satsavarup Das however is not alone in this lying business. The entire instution has been tainted by this business for decades. His is now publically exposed and due to its particular taint - always draws more attention than it really deserves. The true crime is not his longstanding attachment to a woman - for "we have been associated with such things as woman and money since time immemorial"(SB !st Canto) - but the fact that he has all along presented himself as Acharya - misrepresenting his true position - all the while salaciously coveting the wife of another.

Now he enlists others to speak on his behalf instead of stepping forward like a true man -and swallowing his pride - admitting once and for all - his pathetic attempt to cheat his guru and they who come to Krsna because of the teachings of his Guru Srila Prabhupada.

In doing so - he has simply cheated himself - and all his recent efforts to "salvage" his image or position - will do nothing for him or anyone else.

He is without HONOR.

THIS - IS WORSE THAN DEATH.
