Sep 02 INDIA (SUN) — If one reads different commentaries on Vedanta Sutra, he or she may ask what is going on? There are commentaries by Madhva, Ramanuja, Shankaracharya and all these different commentaries give a totally different conclusion.
But despite all the difference in their opinion, though they are trying to prove a different conclusion, all these Acharyas have never changed the original text. They have fought in their commentaries but they never changed the original. Original was always carefully preserved. If Adi Shankaracharya wanted, he was such a great scholar, he could have changed the original text to prove his siddhanta of Mayavada.
What Adi Shankaracharya never did and all other Shankracharyas never did in his lineage, present ISKCON leaders are doing now, i.e., changing the original work of an Acharya.
There have been commentaries on Vedanta Sutra and Bhagavad Gita and there are even commentaries on top of commentaries on all these scriptures. It is not that there were never any grammatical mistakes in all these commentaries. There were grammatical errors and mistakes, but the followers of these Acharyas, both Mayavadis and Vaishnavas, never tried to change the original work, rather they took the difficult path of writing their own commentaries to clarify the works of predecessor Acharyas.
In the new BBT website, BBTedit.com, there are many interviews of prominent ISKCON leaders justifying the changes they have been making to the books by Srila Prabhupada. Because they think that Srila Prabhupada's English was not very good, they know better and they are trying to improve upon their own Guru, Srila Prabhupada. It is very common nowadays to find new bhaktas criticising Srila Prabhupada by saying that his English was not polished. They are learning it from their leaders, who often say the same about Srila Prabhupada.
Even Mayavadis respect Srila Prabhupada and will refrain themselves from making such comments.
These ISKCON leaders who criticise Srila Prabhupada for his unpolished English are driven by their genitals. Many of them are fallen Sannyasis and married to their own disciples, and do not have any guts to write their own commentary on scriptures. Rather they criticise Srila Prabhupada, saying the words which Srila Prabhupada chose for his books are not relevant for modern times. Idiots, if you are so intelligent write your own commentary. Why are you changing the original work of Srila Prabhupada?
Because of their actions, 'ISKCON leader' has become a dirty word, the four letter word. Only this four letter word can describe such leaders, there is no other word to describe them fully.
