Frankfurt, Germany, 26 September 2008 –
A growing group of disciples and followers of Srila Prabhupada in Switzerland, Austria and Germany are getting ready to file an unique class-action lawsuit against ISKCON at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg/France.
There will be radio and television broadcasts around the EU, press conferences, newspaper articles and installation of a help hotline for persons concerned.
Indictment is simple and plain truth—all the senior Vaishnava monks who had established their very existence within the religious order of ISKCON were kicked out of their dedicated monastic occupation of serving humanity according Gaudiya Vaishnava guidelines—guidelines as taught by the representative of the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya sampradaya, Srila Prabhupada, and the previous Acharyas.
De facto 100% of Srila Prabhupada's disciples in Germany, Switzerland and Austria were forced to leave their services as Gaudiya Vaishnava monks—many after having served selflessly up to 20 years in the Vaishnava temples of their spiritual master Srila Prabhupada.
The new management circumvented the original constitution of Srila Prabhupada's world-wide ISKCON movement as registered 1966 in New York and in this way present themselves today as private owners of Srila Prabhupada's temples and his legitimate successors.
Without publishing any documents the new ISKCON management announced that the temples in Germany are indebted with 1.5 million Dollars. In other words, after having kicked out all senior Vaishnavas they are able to sell at any time all the temples—temples for which to acquire 300 Vaishnavas worked for 30 years.
No access recordsÔthe sale of Prabhupada's temples unchecked by any controlling authority.
Several ISKCON leaders of Germany, Austria and Switzerland like Harikesa (Robert Campagnola) were given legitimation by the GBC executive to offshore millions of dollars, although Srila Prabhupada stated clearly in the movement's constitution that there's no such thing as privatization of ISKCON property.
This class-action lawsuit at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) is in no way a fruitive attempt or yet another desperate deed to depend upon the judgement of a materialistic karmi court.
Whatever the court might decide, it is a success from the very beginning to inform the public and congregation of European and worldwide Vaishnavas what happened with Srila Prabhupada's movement in this part of the world and that Vaishnavas don't keep silent whenever Vaishnavas are offended, mobbed out, traumatized and their service within Prabhupada's movement destroyed.
It is not about to seek for monetary compensation, what present ISKCON management seems to meditate upon day and night, money, but to establish the need for justice that Srila Prabhupada's original constitution of his ISKCON movement is reinstated and none of his properties being sold by unscrupulous, self-proclaimed imitators of Srila Prabhupada.
Without Srila Prabhupada's life work there would have been not one single Vaishnava in the West today and nobody would have heard the chanting of Hare Krishna, Lord Caitanya's teachings would still be unknown just as Vedic culture.
To re-establish Prabhupada's movement as taught in his books should be a worthwhile goal for those who are not victimized by the illusory energy or those who want to ressume their broken-off path—the path back to home, back to Godhead as taught by Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
This is not yet another sniveling appeal for reform, a cry for help or distress call. Join or stay where you are and see what happens. As predicted by the Yuga-avatar, the Sankirtan movement will spread in every town and village, it is for sure. But this will not happen with present ISKCON leadership. These people have to be removed without waste of time.
Thirty years of chaos and mismanagement should be enough—probation period is over usually after 3 months.
Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada and all the betrayed Vaishnavas,
European Committee Of Prabhupadanugas (ECOP
