Question Mark Over the Revised Books One is a book that Srila Prabhupada might have approved of or he also may not have approved of. There is a large question mark hovering over this one, and we will never know the answer. But we are 100% sure that [the original edition] is authorized. More
Where Angels Fear to Tread There is no evidence indicating that [Srila Prabhupada] ordered extensive revisions for the next printing. As the current chief editor wrote; "To my knowledge, Srila Prabhupada never asked us to re-edit the book." ( letter to Amogha Lila, July, 1986) More
Return to the Hare Krishna Movement As you know, I left the society of devotees in 1978, shortly after your departure because of profound philosophical confusion, and because I still had some material desires. But I promised you, I promised myself, that I would return when I was 50 to again take up this great mission of yours. I have since returned into the society of devotees, to fulfill the promise I made, and am writing to inform you of the changes I have witnessed since my return to this once glorious Hare Krishna Movement. Prabhupada Book Distribution Marathon
Lots of people got cases of Srila Prabhupada's books to distribute
over the past week But I have realized a full case of books may be
too much for some to distribute. More
BBT Statement on Annotating Srila Prabhupada's Books The ISKCON Governing Body Commission has recommended to the BBT trustees that we insert endnotes or appendices into Srila Prabhupada's books to explain statements Srila Prabhupada makes in Srimad-Bhagavatam ... More
Just What is Jayadvaita's Point? I went to Srila Prabhupada and suggested we reprint his original Bhagavatams for the pleasure of his devotees who liked the old Indian version. Before finishing my proposal, Srila Prabhupada admonished me, saying, "No, whatever Hayagriva has done is perfect, I have full faith in him as the editor of my books." More

In Response to Dharini Dasi:
Capitalization Changes 1.
These are Srila Prabhupada's books; 2. Srila Prabhupada stipulated that
He wanted pronouns relating to Krsna to be CAPITALIZED in HIS books!
(written in the English language). That should finish whatever
"discussion," and in essense, there should not be any discussion since
Srila Prabhupada, the author, Himself stipulated what He wanted.

Publishing Rules for Dummies
One
should not overlook the fact that whatever went to print with Srila
Prabhupada's clear stamp of approval, was "BLESSED" by Him which means
"BLESSED" by Lord Krishna. Whatever mistakes are present, the
"mistaken" version is BLESSED, and there is no reason to believe that
the changed version is equally as blessed... More
Srila Prabhupada Did Not Make
Mistakes
We
challenge you to show us the blank cheque from Prabhupada. Never mind
all your reasons and explanations. It doesn't matter why you are
changing the books: you have given so many justifications, including
even "restoring" the books to the original words dictated by Srila
Prabhupada, but it's not about WHY. What we need to see is Srila
Prabhupada's authorization, plain and simple. Srila Prabhupada's
instruction to you can be the only legitimate, satisfactory
justification. More
BBT Misleads Devotees
with
Changed
Books I
am
inspired to submit a short statement about the new CC's [Chaitanya-
charitamritas] just as an alert to devotees who want to buy or
distribute them.
I recently purchased the new 9 vol. compact set of CC's from BBT. I
received them yesterday and am unhappily returning them. More
Arsha-Prayoga
- Part IV
To
justify their actions, the BBT editors created the illusion that Srila
Prabhupada's books were defective and in need of extensive editing even
though they knew His Divine Grace had never authorized anyone to revise
his books after his disappearance. More
Arsha-Prayoga
- The Case Against Changing Prabhupada's Books
They
are therefore responsible for propagating a most offensive mentality
throughout ISKCON that has diminished the stature of the founder acarya
and undermined his authority within the institution he himself founded.

Revisions
to Srila Prabhupada's Books
Documented Jayadvaita
Swami's revisions are slipped quietly, seamlessly and insidiously into
Srila Prabhupada's books so that unaware and unsuspecting readers will
believe these are the words of Srila Prabhupada.
The result is poison. More

Arsha-Prayoga
- Part II
We
challenge the BBT managers and their editors to produce a single letter
from any recognized scholar agreeing with them that Srila Prabhupada's
original books were full of mistakes and had to be revised for his
message to be properly understood. More
Arsha-Prayoga
- Resistance to Change
As
will be seen from the letters and conversations cited in this article,
Srila Prabhupada would finally insist on an "absolutely no change"
policy based on the principle of arsha prayoga. More

Query Re the
Books
Whoever
picks up Srila Prabhupada's books, expecting that whatever is printed
on the page is what Srila Prabhupada said can no longer be certain of
that. ISKCON-BBTI are printing and distributing these books as if they
are the same thing, as good as, or even "new and improved" and in this
way defrauding the devotees and the public. More
